Information-based innovations continue to drive the global competitive landscape for many businesses, both large and small. Trade secrets can play a key role in protecting a company’s important proprietary information, and can be integral in a business maintaining its competitive advantage in the marketplace. Gonsalves discusses trade secret laws and their role in guarding against corporate espionage in his IP Frontiers article entitled “Keeping Secrets: A Primer on Trade Secret Laws,” The Daily Record, November 19, 2013.
